Description/notes on Brenda Stumpf's piece titled Still:
Watercolor, charcoal and plaster on paper

The edicts that established the Inquisition haven't been repealed and are officially still part of the Catholic faith. They have been used for justification concerning certain practices as recently as 1969. In Julian Huxley's opinion, the worst visions of hell would seem pale beside a comprehensive vision of Christianity's gory history. Such history should be remembered, on the old principle that those who cannot remember their history are condemned to repeat it.
