This track could be thought to represent the chaos of blind nativism against a highly connected world. An exploration of the ancient tribal wiring of our brains that often seems at odds with global modernity.
For a little while in 2012, Jacob Trombetta, Corey Farrow and I got together once a week to make pop music under the name Microstructures. Jacob came up with the original chords on a Huragel acoustic grand piano and added the key guitar lines in West Hill, Akron, 2012. I played bass. Corey and I added some production layers. Ralph Carney added several layers of horns and winds in 2014. Also collected for this track are vinyl samples, acoustic salt shaker and youtube cheerleaders.
